YouTube rumoured to be working on kids' version of site

The popular video-streaming site is said to be working on a version of its site for children aged ten and younger.

YOUTUBE IS SAID to be working on a version of its site designed specifically for children aged ten and under.

Having the teen and adult market already wrapped up, The Information is reporting that the site is producing content designed for young children, free from inappropriate videos and comments they could find on the main site.

Google has already approached developers and creators to help gauge interest in creating videos aimed towards children.

YouTube already has a “safety mode” for filtering out inappropriate content as well as YouTube EDU, a sub-section for schools dedicated to educational videos. Currently, it employs a login system before you can view content suitable for 18+, but not all videos are marked as such.

Having a version separate to the main site would eliminate the possibility of children stumbling upon more mature content. It would also put parents’ mind at ease as it wouldn’t require them to constantly moderate the site in case their children watch anything unsuitable.

Great to see the one and only Jeremy Corbyn retain his seat as an independent. A man of courage and vigour. A man who has always been proven to be on the right side of history. A friend to Ireland. A defender of the working class and the downtrodden. A man who always calls out wrong, no matter how unpopular it makes him with MSM.

I see this more as a tory loss rather then a big win for labour,
