A COMPANY THAT makes smoke, gas and security detection systems is to set up its European HQ in Dublin.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny marked the announcement by Xtralis today – initially 10 jobs will be created at the HQ and a number of senior executives at the company will also move here. The company then hopes to create 50 further jobs in Ireland as it grows its research and development operation here.
The CEO of Xtrali, Samir Samhouri, said that he had met the Taoiseach in Boston and that the meeting “convinced me that we had to look at Ireland and it quickly became clear that the country had much to offer as a location”. He added:
IDA Ireland provided excellent guidance and was invaluable in helping us to get our operations established quickly here. It was this flexibility and pro-business environment which was ultimately the deciding factor for us when choosing Ireland over another location.
