Website creator to hire 100 people in Dublin

Squarespace has started recruiting for the positions in its new EMEA headquarters.

SQUARESPACE IS A 10-year-old website publishing platform based in New York. This morning it is due to announce plans to establish its EMEA headquarters in Dublin, creating 100 jobs.

The company allows users to create professional blogs, web pages, stores and galleries without touching a line of code. The service provides hosting, content management, domain names, social integrations, e-commerce and customer support.

The Dublin operation will serve customers across the world. The new roles will be in customer care.

“We chose Dublin as our first location outside of New York City over many others in Europe,” said Anthony Casalena, founder and CEO. “Dublin offers us a friendly, young, and talented workforce in a vibrant centre city location. It’s the perfect choice for Squarespace.”

The IDA says it has been assisting the firm in its plan to open a Dublin office for the past 12 months, when it first made contact with management. The agency has a division specifically tasked with finding high-growth companies.
