I guess they can do what they want with their money, there’s nothing illegal about it, but I think what grated was the government being criticised for not devoting enough tax payers money to foreign aid when our own country was struggling + the complainant’s tax was being paid elsewhere

I don’t particularly like U2 but got tickets for my husband (a huge fan). They cost about €200 at the time and Bono spent about 15 minutes asking the crowd to donate to some charity I can’t even remember. I remember thinking, “your concert tickets are outrageously priced, you’re a multi millionaire who pays no tax here, and yet you take time out during your outrageously priced concert to ask people to give their money to a charity.” He just gets on my nerves and clearly doesn’t live in the real world.

As regards U2 and Bono, shouldn’t they be on the Dutch Rich List?

Bono himself is over 80 courics in weight.

We could really use their taxes here ! But I guess they know what’s best (for themselves)

Why should someone from Ireland pay tax to the irish goverment on money that was earned in other countries?

with regards to bonos charity work,i am not a fan of him i think he is an annoyance harping on in the manner he does,but its his profile that generates the money for charities,but i think he should put his hands in his pockets and practice wat he preaches
