GOOGLE HAVE UNVEILED their new three-wheeled wonder that has allowed them to photograph previously inaccessible tourist destinations and monuments that can now be viewed on their street view application.

The Google street view trike has been pedalled by staffers around the world to capture the intimate details of some of the most famous tourist attractions and historical monuments including Ireland, as we reported yesterday.

Google’s street view application gives street level views to many streets and roads around the world but their latest invention has opened up more possibilities for photographing areas not accessible by road.

A modified bicycle, it has three wheels, camera equipment, a storage box on the back and can go almost anywhere.

That is something which those who are critical of the street view project won’t be too happy about.
