The cost of giving advice to banks? €300 million

Hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ money have been paid to bank advisors.

IT’S EMERGED THAT €300 million has been handed over to bank advisors working with the Central Bank and banks which have been involved in a nationalisation process.

Newstalk has said that it has seen figures which show that the taxpayers’ money has been paid to national and international consultants for advice.

Bank of Ireland has said that it will pay €50 million to advisors, while AIB has spent €35 million so far this year.
