I like kfc but I noticed the quality in lot of there stores is very poor

Not surprised. Although i like KFC chicken, the chips arent at all nice, toilets are always filthy, and service is always very slow.

KFC is expensive in Ireland compared to the UK, at least 30% more. And you get less food.

This can only be a good thing! KFC is probably as unhealthy as you can get!

Im not completely sure why fast food chain food costs more here than in Britain or the USA (probably a few different factors such as currency, size of market, the fact that we live on a island etc) but I couldn’t get over how cheap it was in the US. Over there you get free drink refills even if you purchase the cheapest meal on the menu… This might also be one of the reasons why the USA has high levels of obesity but nonetheless it’s cheap.

The quality of food in KFC is terrible in this country.

I live in a KFC Triangle…..Swords Pavillion, Omni Plex Santry and Clare Hall coolock! Can’t get away from the skanky stuff!
Profits may be down 10% in Ireland but waistlines around here are definitely up 10%!

Every time I visit KFC I leave telling myself never again – till a year later I find myself stuck for something to eat and think it might be better, like this week in Roscommon, but it isn’t. If anything it gets worse every time. Problem lies entirely with the management/staff. I mean.. how hard is it to cook chips ?? Not that hard like, so it’s difficult to understand how they can get it so completely wrong so consistently. When making up a burger, try to not send it out on a stale bun.. simple things really, like using more mayo than chicken on the burger (in addition to the stale bun) probably won’t get a repeat visit from the customer.. ah, never again (till next year when the disgust wears off).

To be fair, if they put a bit more effort into training their staff to actually give a shit about the quality of the slop they dish out, it could probably be nice. I’ve had it in the states and UK before snd it was good

Everytime I get a KFC at my local shopping centre in Mahon I always get my fries from McDonalds. The chicken is lovely but the fries are horrible, always cold and not enough. If you go into any KFC the fries are always ready on the rack and when the customer gets them they could be prepared 10 or 15 minutes earlier, always the fries are cold and not near as nice as McDonalds.

The drinks are also flat especially the cola.

So no wonder sales are down.

kfc only opened a new store this very day a stones throw from my work place. after reading all those comments i don’t think I’ll be venturing through its doors!

Good. I don’t eat KFC because of their horrendous animal welfare standards. Excessive debeaking, tearing chickens apart and kicking them is not behaviour I will knowingly reward with my custom. Get suppliers with a decent standard of treatment towards their animals and I’d probably change my tune.

It’s pretty expensive and I don’t know what seasoning they use but it goes though me like the LUAS. It was a photo finish on more than one occasion! Had to give it up

And there was me thinking people were eating nothing else but fast food/junk and becoming obese and getting type 2 diabetes…silly me!

As said there chips are woefull and most of the time the chicken is very greasy. When I’m In the UK the chicken is nice and chrispy.

Still no where near as good as Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits in the USA

try to minimise fast food consumption, so when I do splurge I want it to be worth the unhealthiness. chipper, mcdonalds etc. are bold but you feel like it was worth the treat. kfc on the other hand just feels like “why did i spend so much and consume so much crap!” not worth it!

For me, it’s the coffee that really sums the whole thing up.

KFC’s website says:
“A solid cup of coffee made with freshly ground beans and topped up with hot water”

What you actually get:
“A small watery cup of instant coffee from a sachet”

The filthiest takeaways I’ve ever eaten in. Was in one in Swords last year, and halfway through my meal there was a bang, and the bin fell over, spewing rubbish all over the floor in front of the main serving area. The staff did nothing to clean it up. 10 minutes later when I left, it was still there: utterly filthy.
I went shopping and walked by 15 minutes later and the contents of the bin were still all over the floor.

Also, wasn’t this one of the employers who went to court to fight to destroy the minimum wage? Filthy, dirty, mean shower. Never eating there again.

KFC is very hit and miss wherever you go. EG, the Wexford one is horrible, but the Swords Pavillion is probably the nicest chicken iv ever tasted! Lol

Maybe KFC should lower their prices in comparison to their competitors and then business might start moving again as I know for a fact if they lowered their prices they’d see me more often.

hard to believe people still eat this awful crap, especially knowing the shocking cruelty involved. there’s so many healthy alternatives I’m amazed such places still exist. but I suppose its part of the Americanization of Europe, dude.

I do like their zinger tower meal! Worse KFC is in Clonmel everything was stale cold and full of salt!

i think the ” K ” stands for KIP…not kentucky…. i have never been in a clean kfc ever here…..cold stale burger buns… cold lardy tasting chips…and coke thats tastes like watery cola flavour mister freeze !!!!…… and not to mention the price of the crap food…..

It is all in the name. How could anybody expect fried chicken to be healthy. At least they can not be done for misleading the public.

News just in. The Federation of Irish Chicken holdings has just stated that a 10% drop in consumption of chicken has nothing to do with the one tonne of beef stolen recently. Mc Donald’s also confirm new chicken flavour beefs burgers go on sale this weekend for half nothing.
