Ryanair passenger numbers drop 8 per cent in November

The airline had expected a bigger fall last month because of aircraft being grounded.

RYANAIR’S PASSENGER NUMBERS fell by 8 per cent in November it has been announced.

The airline carried a total of 4.68 million passengers last month which is down from 5.06 million at the same time last year.

Europe’s largest airline said it expected the numbers to fall as it had grounded 80 aircraft due to higher oil prices.

Passenger numbers had been expected to fall by 10 per cent in November. Load factor, the proportion of seats filled, was unchanged at 80 per cent in November.

Ryanair has carried 76.7 million passengers in the year to November.
