Ryanair sees record August passenger numbers

RYANAIR SAW RECORD numbers of passengers travelling with it last month, capping off a busy summer for the airline.

During the summer months, Ryanair operated over 150,000 flights, while it carried over 25m passengers.

This included a record 8.9m in August, its highest-ever monthly total.

It said that of these flights, a record 93 per cent were on time over the months of June, July and August. Ten of Ryanair’s 152,000 flights were cancelled during this three-month period.

Ryanair carried over 25m passengers during the three summer months, with over 8m in each of July and August, resulting in the new monthly record of 8.9m passengers in August.

they do so much right … how hard could it be to make the Ryanair experience enjoyable without the stress… Is my bag too heavy, Did I print the right boarding pass, Am i in the right cue. Is my bag 2cm too high. Will i get to sit near my family. Should i pay for seats? and then the big question How many lotto tickets to buy!

For as much as I would love to hate Ryanair, I have never had a bad experience with them on over 30 flights I’ve had with them. So I say fair play

And of those flights few had emergency landings in a different airport than planned due to fuel leaking, not enough fuel, issues with cabin pressure… As the were in spanish airports the Spanish government is looking into this but very little said in Ireland about it.

  Seriously? do you work for the daily mail? The did have several low fuel warnings (about 980kg of fuel left) as Madrid airport closed its runway and forced all flights to another airport, All Flights then had to circle alicante as they were unscheduled. Several of the big airlines had low fuel calls that day all having been diverted from Madrid.

  @ Bilbo Baggins some of the flights that had to do emergency landing weren’t going to Madrid and the cabin pressure issue and fuel leak can’t be blamed on Barajas’ airport too, can they?

  Good don’t without them you’d be paying a lot more for your tickets irrespective of who you fly with.Is it a status thing look at me I can afford to fly Aer Lingus,they must be just about due their quarterly strike.
