RYANAIR’S TRAFFIC grew by 5 per cent last year to over 76 million passengers, according to the budget airline.
The airline recently announced a drop in its passenger numbers for November and December 2011.
Announcing its latest figures for 2011, the airline says that its traffic grew from 72.7 million passengers in 2010 to 76.4 million last year.
August was a record month for Ryanair as 8.1 million passengers used the airline, beating its previous record of August 2010 by 6 per cent.
Ryanair’s busiest day of travel last year was 12 August, with over 280,000 passengers flying on over 1,600 flights, while 28 March was the busiest day for bookings (over 310,000 bookings).
