RYANAIR FLIGHTS TO Rome will be temporarily switched from Rome Ciampino Airport to Rome Fiumicino Airport for a week at the end of September due to maintenance works at the former airport.
Runway maintenance work will see the Ciampino airport closed for nine days from 24 September to 2 October.
Throughout this period, all Ryanair flights to and from Rome will be serviced through Rome Fiumicino Airport.
“Ryanair sincerely apologises to all passengers affected by this nine day closure,” Ryanair communications manager Robin Kiely said in a statement today. “Any information updates will be published on the Ryanair.com website as they become available.”
Passengers arriving at Fiumicino will be able to use bus or taxi services to travel into Rome city centre, the airline says.
