US COMPANY QUALTRICS opened its European headquarters in Dublin today, announcing plans to recruit 50 people in the capital in the next 12 months.
The data collection and analysis firm’s office on Earlsfort Terrace represents its first international expansion. Based on growth to date, the firm says it hopes to hire around 150 people across Europe, the Middle East and Africa over the next three years or so.
Speaking at the official opening, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the move was “another vote of confidence in the country’s strengths as a location for investment and jobs”.
According to CEO Ryan Smith, Dublin offers “significant opportunity in terms of the available talent and resources needed to grow our business”. He added:
Additionally, through our relationship with IDA Ireland, within a matter of weeks, we were able to very quickly move from initial discussions to full-scale operational implementation.
Founded in Utah in 2002, the company experienced triple digit growth in 2012, and more than doubled its workforce to 350 employees in the past year.
