Thinking of buying? Here's 11 of the cheapest homes on the market right now

Asking prices are up around 3.5 per cent on this time last year, and the lack of supply’s been pushing up prices in Dublin. But what’s on offer for less than €75,000?

THE AVERAGE ASKING price for a home outside Dublin rose for the first time since 2007 in the latest quarterly report from property website Daft.ie.

The site’s latest price report found the average asking price for a house in Ireland is now €177,000 — up 3.5 per cent on this time last year.

The average asking price is still down more than 50 per cent from the peak of the housing bubble, but a lack of supply is now pushing up prices.

As we head into spring — typically a boon time for estate agents — we thought it would be worth taking a quick look at what’s on offer at the lower end of the market.

From fixer-uppers to fully-fledged starter homes — here’s an example of what’s available right now for less than half the average asking price…
