100 new jobs for Dublin social media firm that helps local businesses

Phlok is a rewards platform that allows users to earn virtual currency as they interact with local businesses.

IRISH-OWNED SOCIAL platform Phlok have announced the creation of 100 new jobs over the coming 18 months.

Following a €460,000 investment from private and institutional investors, Phlok are looking for people in the areas of software development, sales, training and account management.

What is Phlok?

Well, it’s a rewards platform that offers the opportunity to earn virtual currency as users interact with businesses on Phlok through the internet or their phones. The whole point of the business is to get back on their “main street” and get “people shopping local”, said CEO, Paul Graham.

The company launched just six months ago, but has already gained 300 businesses throughout Ireland including shops, restaurants, bars, off licenses, pharmacies, coffee shops, car dealerships, clothes retailers and even clairvoyants.
