There are 400 new jobs coming to Dundrum

Car rental marketplace company, CarTrawler, has announced the new jobs at its headquarters in south Dublin today.

A CAR RENTAL marketplace company has announced 400 new jobs at its headquarters in Dundrum this afternoon.

CarTrawler has said it will create 400 new positions over the next three years at its headquarters in south Dublin.

The company has already started to fill 200 of the positions in senior roles including business development, customer operations, data science, finance and engineering.

CarTrawler provides aviation, travel, hospitality, leisure and consumer companies with connections to over 1,200 car rental agents in over 30,000 airports and cities across 174 different countries.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton are at today’s announcement along with junior jobs minister Ged Nash.

Kenny has hailed the company as “a great example of an indigenous Irish company competing and succeeding in the global market”.

CarTrawler is holding an open day on Saturday, 18 October and has advised those interested in the jobs to email them to book their place.

Enda is a bit like a witch doctor taking credit for a good harvest. Im pretty sure the company is here despite the government and not because of the government which is hell bent on raising the cost of doing business here

I know the cartrawler story very well, it was making waves long before Kenny got near power and certainly hasn’t relied on his gang to get to this point. I can assure you.

    Fair play to Car Trawler.
    Great website.
    I’ve used them several times.
I wish they could design a property website for the Irish market.
Daft and Myhome are pale comparisons to Rightmove and Zoopla.

Funny how we have an emergency hob announcement to deflect away from Enda and his poisoned Fine Gael….

Cork loses as Dublin gains ! How many of these jobs are being transferred from Cartrawlers current customer services agent in Cork to the new inhouse operations in Dublin. Another Fine Gael fantasy, how many new jobs are actually being created ?

Yes Denis. Cork always loses. It’s a conspiracy. 400 new jobs but Cork is losing out because Dublin is gaining. Pathetic. Can you not see beyond your Cork parochialism? Dublin’s gain is the countries gain don’t you know!!
