New face on NAMA board

Oliver Ellingham was appointed to the board by the Minister for Finance this afternoon.

FORMER IBRC NON-executive director Oliver Ellingham has been appointed to the board of the National Asset Management Agency.

Finance Minister Michael Noonan announced the move today, citing the accountant’s “significant international experience at both a senior management and board level”.

“His skills and experience will make him an asset to to the Board of NAMA,” according to Noonan.

Ellingham will take up the role from 10 April.

Previously, he was the Head of Corporate Finance (Europe) at BNP Paribas and senior executive within BNP Paribas UK. He served as a non-executive director with IBRC between October 2011 and February 2013. He still holds non-executive directorships in a number of companies, including Vislink plc and the Naafi Pension Fund. He is currently chairman and owner of Woking Storage Solutions.

Frank Daly, chairman of NAMA, welcomed Ellingham to the board, adding that he is “well placed to make a valuable contribution”.
