Ryanair claims to be first airline to fly 10 million international passengers in a month

The airline is pretty happy with its results for last month.

RYANAIR HAS CLAIMED to be the first airline to carry more than 10 million international passengers in a month.

This comes in the company’s passenger figures for July, which saw an 11% increase in terms of the total number of passengers that flew with the company when compared with the same period a year before.

The company’s load factor, a measurement that looks at how efficiently an airline fills its seats, also grew in July, up to 95%.

ryanair passenger figures Ryanair Ryanair

Speaking about the increase, the company’s spokesperson, Kenny Jacobs took the opportunity to compare Ryanair’s figures with those of Aer Lingus, saying:

We carried more customers in one month (10.14 million in July) than Aer Lingus carried in a whole year (9.77 million in 2014).

“These record customer numbers and highest ever load factors are due to our lower fares, our stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme, which continues to deliver stronger than expected traffic and load factors on our biggest ever summer schedule,” he went on.

To put the passenger figures into context, two Ryanair’s major European rivals, Air France KLM and Easyjet, flew 7.13 million and 6.56 million passengers in the month of June of this year.

Of course he is capitalist elite, but he’s also provided many jobs and doesn’t take govt bribes, keeps his nose relatively clean in that sense. The AAA are more interested in tax exempt Dennis o Brien getting illegal bribes to screw the people

Capitalism works when it is egalitarian.
By avoiding catering for privileged groups in their passengers, Ryanair is able to provide its service to all at an impressive fare.
It’s not luxury, but it is transport.

Yea have we abolished the title Taoiseach all of a sudden or something, when you hear Irish people saying things like this it’s no wonder people mistakenly think we’re still in the UK.

fair dues to ryan air but leaving out what monies or not that are pumped into aer lingus, with them only having 51 active planes and Ryanair having about 400 basically 8 times the amount that it’s easy for Ryanair to be carrying millions more than Aer lingus. but O’Leary is some business man that nobody can deny!

Of course they fly many more passengers than AL since AL only flies to and from Ireland. It’s like comparing apples and pears. Would be more truthful if Ryanair stated how many they flew to/from Ireland when comparing making such outrageous claims.

Ryanair is a lot younger than Aerlingus and they weren’t fed money by the government for 70 odd years. So you’re right not much of a comparison.
