DOZENS OF NEW jobs have been announced around Ireland this morning.
EPS, a company that specialises in the water and waste water treatment plants, has announced a €3 million expansion at its facility in Mallow, Co Cork.
Up to 50 new jobs will be created, along with 35 construction jobs.
Also this morning, Limerick-based Payback Loyalty is planning to double its workforce, creating 28 new jobs in a €2.5 million investment.
The company, which develops loyalty reward schemes for shops, plans to hire a mix of experienced professionals and graduates.
Both announcements are supported by the Department of Jobs through Enterprise Ireland.
Minister Richard Bruton said Payback’s expansion is ”a really good example of what we are trying to deliver with our plan”.
“Here is an Irish company, investing in R&D, developing innovative products and services, and creating high-end jobs in the Mid-West,” he said.
Bruton said that EPS is “operating at the cutting edge of its sector”, and noted it plans to target the international markets.
