One of Dublin's prime retail spots is being put on the market for a cool €16 mil

The location is pretty symbolic. Grafton Street returned to full occupancy, post-recession, when Life Style Sports moved in last year.

A PROPERTY AT the top of Grafton Street in Dublin is being brought to the market with a guide price of around €16 million.

57/58 currently houses a Life Style Sports outlet – and the company has a 20-year lease on the property, with break options after ten and fifteen years.

The sport retailer only moved in late last year – in a move seen as highly symbolic, as it saw the high street return to full occupancy, in the wake of several closures following the recession.

The property was amalgamated and completely renovated before Life Style moved in. The sports store replaced ‘Zerup’ and a pop-up golf shop.

The four storey property measures 1,150 square metres – including 604 square metres of retail space on the ground and first floor. It has 11 metres Grafton Street frontage, as well as an entrance onto South King Street.

Life Style pays an annual rent of €675,000.

Savills are looking after the sale.
