Is Twitter a quitter when it comes to locating in Dublin?

Has the social networking giant decided to go with London instead?

THERE ARE SUGGESTIONS that Dublin may be not be the number one choice for Twitter’s new European offices after all.

Silicon Republic says that the company has instead decided to locate in west London, and has even begun scouting office locations and recruiting staff. UK site MediaWeek also reports that Twitter will launch a UK office, with an emphasis on generating advertising revenue.

However, there is no indication yet that the new London offices will be Twitter’s only new European digs, with both Dublin and London locations rumoured for some time now.

The rumour mill was sent into overdrive earlier this year when it appeared that Twitter had registered a business address in Dublin. However it was soon uncovered that the address was not actually registered by the corporation Twitter Inc, but rather ‘Twitter Limited’, which is owned by a man from Bray.
