PINTEREST IS a tremendously successful social pinboard site that is taking the internet by storm.

It’s a big enough deal that the US Army took notice and assembled an explanatory guide on it, which Business Insider found via All Things D.

Whether you have no idea what Pinterest is and could use the explanation, or you just want to see Pinterest through the US military’s eyes, check out the slideshow below.

And if you feel like checking out the US Army’s own Pinterest account, here it is, complete with boards for Valentine’s Day, Training and Good Morale. (The US Marines Pinterest boards are here.)

Pinterest. It’s grand but not sure if I’d personally find much of use for it. The only use I think I’d find for it is if I wanted to just save images of clothes or well designed objects I find online, but then again that’s what a bookmark is… although people can’t tell me I’m cool if I bookmark it.

Love the USMC pinterest page. Nice to see so many pics of me. Just goes to show the difference between the US Army and the Marines. Marines have pics of blowing things up. The Army, Valentines Day. I’m embarrassed for them.
