Google Wallet in action Google

Want to send (and receive) money by email?

Google has rolled Google Wallet into Gmail, so you can send money over email – but would you be interested in such a service?

EVER WANTED TO send money to someone via email?

The opportunity could be on its way as Google has rolled its Google Wallet service into Gmail, so people can now attach a sum of money to their  message.

The feature is being introduced for US users over the next few months, but as of yet there is no news on the date that Irish users will be able to access the new service.

From paying rent to booking a holiday, the service has a huge range of uses.

If your bank account is linked to Google Wallet, or if you have money in your Google Wallet balance, it is free to send money to people. But if you use your linked credit or debit card, there are added fees.

Here’s the video that explains more about how the new system works:

You must be over 18 to use the feature, and you can also buy purchase protection to cover you in case of unauthorised payments.

Would you send money over Gmail?
