Google Image Search experienced a strange glitch earlier today...

A repeating image of a car crash began appearing on some Google Image Search earlier today.

GOOGLE’S IMAGE SEARCH experienced an odd problem earlier today when some search results began showing the same image repeatedly.

A glitch brought up the image of a car crash which appeared for most search results. The first two rows displayed the correct results, but after that, the same image of a car accident was repeated.

Not everyone was affected by the glitch, but it was enough for users on Twitter, Reddit and Google’s search forums to bring up the issue.

One user in the Google search forums traced the image back to a Ukrainain article. However, it wasn’t clear whether the issue was a glitch or part of a hacking attack.

Google has fixed the bug, and confirmed it in its forum, but it hasn’t commented on what caused it to happen in the first place.
