Google calendar users affected by data loss

The internet giant say they are working to fix the problem which has affected hundreds of users.

GOOGLE’S ONLINE CALENDAR service has been experiencing problems which have wiped data from at least hundreds of users’ calendars.

Data has gone missing altogether in some reported cases leaving those affected without the daily schedules that they keep on Google’s online calendar service.

Hundreds of posts to Google’s support forums have complained of the loss.

Google have acknowledged the issue but claim that only a small number of users have been affected by the disruption.

In their latest update they say they expect to have fixed the issue soon:

Google Calendar service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future.

Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.

PC Pro reports that this is the latest in a series of glitches for Google’s online calendar service with the service going down in May last year and again in October for five days before it was restored.
