UPC HAS ANNOUNCED that ITV 2,3, and 4 are back on its digital television service after an eight month hiatus.
In what the entertainment company says is a Christmas present to its TV viewers, the three British channels are being relaunched after being taken off the air at the end of March.
At the time UPC cited ITV’s inability to renegotiate a deal to include the channel on Irish subscriptions because of a deal with another channel provider to provide exclusive rights.
But now that’s all changed with the channels back on UPC since Tuesday.
So not only will the odd episode of Poirot now be available for your viewing pleasure there will also be the antics of those crazy kids in The Only Way Is Essex or TOWIE as they’re calling it, as well as old favourites like Taggart, Heartbeat and Inspector Morse.
“We are delighted to be able to bring back the ITV channels and offer our customers so much choice and quality across our expanded entertainment line up,” Simon Kelehan head of TV at UPC said, promising the announcement “is just the beginning”.
