These fake Apple employees try talking people into buying rival products instead

“Honestly, I would just sell it and go Microsoft instead.”

ALTHOUGH THERE ARE no Apple stores in this country, the style and layout of their stores are well known.

And so too are the staff who are trained to be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products they sell. But what happens when they not only stop recommending their own products, but plug rival products instead?

That’s what the YouTube channel NelkFilmz decided to do by going into one of their local Apple stores and claiming to work there.

It mostly involves them recommending other products (mainly Microsoft) to visitors and telling them how they should avoid Apple products entirely.

It doesn’t take long for the real staff to notice them, causing them to ‘quit’ their jobs and tell everyone to switch to Microsoft products instead (which leads to some sporadic clapping just to make the whole thing more awkward).

Apple Sales International had a profit of €11 billion (!) per employee in Ireland, can you imagine the cost of filling up a whole store with that type of high calibre employee!

For the apple store point, we don’t have the market to justify a dedicated store considering we have one of the highest ARPU in Europe (so customers spend loads on mobile products), and there must be more of a demand in one of the UK’s stores in those shopping meccas like Basingstoke, Exeter or Plymouth than Dundrum or Grafton street. Let’s just face it – apple don’t like Irish punters, and don’t need to settle into Ireland that much to pay for a store, their presence here is based on being ready to pull out at any minute.

There are several Apple premium resellers here. I don’t think Microsoft have a store here either.

Why would they advise them to buy android? We all know android is for people who cant afford Apple. These people must be plebeians of the Technology world.

Not really, if you’re on bill pay there’s only about 60€ in the difference between the most expensive iPhone and most expensive android operated phone. So your argument is bs. Due an upgrade soon Samsung galaxy s5 all the way, had an iPhone before and would never go back.

Completely incorrect about pricing. iPhone myself but your argument about €60 is way off. Z2/Z3 cost peanuts against a 6/6+
