Dyson's first ever robotic vacuum cleaner is probably smarter than you are*

*Maybe not but it does see more than you do.

Dyson / YouTube

IF YOU’RE THE type of person that gets your kicks from household appliances, prepare to salivate.

Sixteen years in the making, Dyson has revealed its first ever robotic vacuum cleaner. It’s called the 360 Eye and the makers claim that it can see all and clean every part of your home without repeating the same spot.

The 36o Eye’s (pretty awesome) website says that the robot “constantly observes and interprets its surroundings” through a 360-degree vision system that uses geometry and probability theory to navigate a room.

When it finds the offending dirt, Dyson says the motor spins at 78,000 rpm to create centrifugal forces from which even microscopic particles can’t escape. Apparently, it also uses (ahem) ‘digital pulse technology’ to speed the process along.

But lest you be concerned that your robotic friend is in fact lazying on the couch while you work all the day, the 360 Eye comes with IOS and Android apps that shows you live maps of where the robot has cleaned during the day.

James Dyson launched the 360 Eye at a very Apple-esque looking event in Tokyo this morning.

Dyson hasn’t yet provided any details of the price of the new vacuum cleaner but there is a form you can fill on the 360 Eye website so that Dyson will email you when it’s available in Ireland.

Hey, you’ve got do something yourself right?

It’s not like she needs to do it because she’s not selling enough records. Her latest album was the fastest selling album in 12 years

Spotify should just sign the artists directly and cut out the record labels.

I wonder if Taylor Swift will make more money since she removed her music from Spotify. Will it make any difference at all even?
