A CLOUD COMPUTING company has announced plans to create over 100 new jobs to its Dublin operations to cater to growing demand.
Salesforce.com, based in the Sandyford industrial estate in south Dublin, announced the expansion this morning.
The IDA-backed company has been based in the estate since 2000, and its local operations – in sales, support and customer service – form its main European hub for commercial sales, support over 20,000 customers across the continent.
The company’s regional chairman Steve Garnett said Ireland had played a key role in the company’s success, and said it was “delighted to be able to expand our reach in the region through the creation of an additional 100 jobs”.
Jobs minister Richard Bruton, who was present at the announcement, said the news showed the potential for further job creation in technology industries, an area of particular focus in the government’s jobs agenda.
The company will hold a recruitment event in Dublin next week.
