Centra announces 400 new jobs at 20 additional stores

The brand is to create the jobs at locations around the country.

AROUND 400 new jobs are to be created at Centra this year, as the convenience store confirms an expansion of its network.

The company is to add around 20 stores around the country this year — bringing the total to 485.

The news was announced by Managing Director Martin Kelleher at the brand’s National Retailer Conference in Killarney yesterday.

Retail sales at Centra were up 3.5 per cent last year, totalling €1.48 billion. Kelleher said the increase had been driven by their own brand range “in addition to new store openings and refurbishments”.

Trial? What’s to trial, it works in other countries across Europe for years. As usual our well developed and prosperous nation has third world services. No surprise there.

@Mr “JonnieBoy” Johnson: Agreed! Trial? Can none of them make decisions for the good of the people and just fkn stand their ground in our name on their own? Does it really need committee after group after this, that, the other bollks?

It can’t be as hard as they seem to make it surely. Isn’t it all supposed to boil down to a sense of right and wrong in solidarity?

Welcome to the European Continent, year 1990 lol

Better late than never. This is standard practice in many places so given the relatively short distances in Ireland a patient should be treated on-site and airlifted to a hospital in very little time! I hope they maintain it it certainly will help save lives especially in congested road areas and isolated areas.

Why do we need a feasibility study? We need an implementation study. We know it’s feasible.
