A NEW BMW dealership opening in Galway has announced plans to install a roof-top putting green for customers.
The county has been without a dealership for the brand since 2009.
Now with constantly improving car sales figures, Colm Quinn BMW has announced plans to set up shop in Galway.
“Figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that new car sales in November are up 12%on last year,” Quinn said.
The dealership has recruited 14 staff over the past year, and intends to bring its total workforce to 25 over the next month. Another 55 are currently employed at a dealership in Athlone.
Quinn’s dealerships have won a string of awards in the past, but now he’s looking to go a little further with this new branch.
“We have some exciting plans for 2015 including the opening of a roof-top putting green for our customers,” Quinn said.
New figures have shown 2014 to have been a bumper year for car sales.
In the last twelve months, vehicle history expert Cartell.ie has counted more than 118,000 vehicles sold across Ireland.
The equivalent figure for 2013 was 92,724.
