It's a sign!: The Starbucks sign on the old Anglo HQ to be precise

There’s a new place to have a coffee in Dublin.

IF EVER THERE was a bank sign that was forced into the public consciousness, it was the Anglo Irish Bank sign on its former headquarters on St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin.

Well, it’s now been replaced with something arguably more recognizable.

It was reported late last year that Starbucks is to open up in the old Anglo HQ and today we saw the first physical evidence out the front.

The infamous ‘Anglo’ sign and logo were removed from the building in 2011, as the institution was renamed the IBRC.

So for posterity’s sake here’s what it looked like one last time.
