Allianz is creating dozens of jobs in Dublin (again)

The health insurer has announced 100 new positions at its Dublin offices.

ALLIANZ HAS ANNOUNCED plans to grow its 700-strong workforce in Ireland over the coming months.

The health insurer will create 100 new positions at its new Dublin offices at the Park West Business Campus.

The jobs will be in areas ranging from underwriting and pricing to client services.

It has already created 74 separate positions this year.

Allianz said in a statement that the workforce is expanding due to a number of recent ‘client wins, particularly in the Intergovernmental Organisation’.

The jobs were welcomed by IDA boss Martin Shanahan, who also backed the initiative.

“The addition of 100 new jobs is a strong endorsement of Ireland’s ability to provide the skills and range of languages required for the financial services industry,” Shanahan said.

This expansion plus the recent increase in headcount and the company’s significant investment in new property is most welcome and illustrates Allianz Worldwide Care’s confidence in Ireland as a compelling location for global businesses.

Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton said that over the past three years there have been 18,000 jobs created by multinationals in Ireland.

Great news of course. Im not aware that they are involved in health insurance in any capacity though? More general insurance products.

This guy knows his stuff! yes, Irish created, German owned, Paris Tax Based (because of recent law changes) Insurance company that has a big presence in Dublin, and is a big player on the global healthcare and non-health Insurance industry. The jobs are varied and many, it’s probably the most positive news today to be fair :)

And what about the people they laid off two years ago?? People have very short memories!! Most of the companies recruiting now have made redundancies in the last three years…
