PICS: Aer Lingus launches new three course menu for transatlantic passengers

A three-course meal with a choice of red or white wine will set you back €17.50.

FROM 14 FEBRUARY, Aer Lingus will offer a choice of a three course meal on transatlantic flights between Dublin, Shannon and the USA.

Here’s what’s on the menu:

The Steak House meal consists of fillet of beef, sautéed potatoes with onion, spinach, mushrooms, topped with tomato tartar and served with peppercorn sauce. Chocolate mousse or cheesecake, by Lily O’Brien, is served for dessert. (Pictured above)

The Cod with Salsa Verde meal option is a fillet of cod topped with salsa verde crust, served with baby potatoes and steamed fresh vegetables. Dessert is a delicious seasonal fruit salad.

Chicken stuffed with Irish black pudding is wrapped in bacon, served with colcannon mash potato and steamed root vegetables. Chocolate mousse or tasty cheesecake, by Lily O’Brien, is served for dessert.

Customers will have to pre-order their dish and can do so up to 90 days in advance of travel.

Director of Communications Declan Kearney said: “All customers receive a complimentary meal on board our transatlantic service but with Sky Dine additional choice is available for customers who wish to the upgrade their dining experience.”
