Samsung has tested wireless internet that could download a movie in one second
The South Korean technology firm has tested super-fast fifth generation or 5G wireless technology but it will be a while before its released to the general public.
SAMSUNG HAS SAID it had successfully tested super-fast fifth-generation (5G) wireless technology that would eventually allow users to download an entire movie in one second.
The South Korean giant said the test had witnessed data transmission of more than one gigabit per second over a distance of two kilometres.
The new technology, which will not be ready for the commercial market before 2020 at the earliest, would offer transmitting speeds “up to several hundred times faster” than existing 4G networks, it said in a statement.

That will permit users to “transmit massive data files including high quality digital movies practically without limitation”, it said.
“As a result, subscribers will be able to enjoy a wide range of services such as 3D movies and games, real-time streaming of ultra high-definition (UHD) content, and remote medical services,” it added.
Samsung said it had found a way to harness millimeter-wave bands which have proved to be a sticking point for the mobile industry to date.
The test used 64 antenna elements, which the tech titan said overcame the issue of “unfavourable propagation characteristics” that have prevented data travelling across long distances using the bands.
One of the most wired countries on earth, South Korea already has around 20 million 4G users.
The registration of new companies is due to the number of people being hired as contractors, a move designed to ensure large companies can avoid laws such as having to pay redundancy and pensions. Essentially and erosion of workers rights.

This is clearly good news and can’t be chalked down to job bridge but the doom merchants still find a way to be negative . There are plenty of things to complain about without jumping on positive news stories . I know of plenty of start ups that have come into existence in the last 12 months and I’m also aware of the contractors working for multinational companies . Many of these contracts are quite lucrative as they compensate for the lack of security in tenure .
Also worth bearing in mind that all new businesses are companies. Plenty of other business models out there.
Sole traders, partnerships etc. also create jobs and contribute to the economy.
I wish new start ups all the best but alas this seems like another property bubble…. This Govt just like the last Govt needs to really perk up and listen to this big scary word : S U S T A I N A B I L I T Y !
